A wonderful event in my life has been my daughter and her husband are expecting their first child. They moved to Houston during the summer of 2011. As my only child, I shall miss her, but I have forged ahead making new friends and solidifying connections. I continue my volunteering at the English Speaking Union and have taken up tai chi and ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire Midtown Studio. I've had 4 hand surgeries as a result of a bad fall and broken my arm after another fall. Nevertheless I am in good health and try and make the most of life in Manhattan, which offers so many wonderful and enriching activities.
